Dog Tails Canine Services provides high quality dog walking and training services for clients who are looking for responsible, positive and exceptional care. Introducing a new person into your canine’s life requires a respect and knowledge of dog behavior and body language to allow for a smooth and stress-free partnership. We are happy to follow any specific protocol used for your dog on their walks and also have experience and help with fearful, reactive, and guarding behaviors.

We understand each dog has their own unique personality and needs and deserves thoughtful and tailored care. This is why all dog services are one-on-one with a focus on safety, kindness, respect, and love.

Our mission is to build a relationship with each dog to give them a fulfilling experience where they feel safe, respected, and the freedom to be themselves.

We are currently serving the river towns and the surrounding area of Westchester County, NY.

Meet Emily

Hi! I’m Emily, a passionate dog trainer (VSA-CDT) and owner of Dog Tails Canine Services. After adopting Phoebe, a rescue from South Korea, I had no idea that my life was about to change. I realized my calling to teach was shifting to another type of student, and after 18 plus years in arts education, I made the exciting jump into the world of dogs!

I have discovered dogs, like people, are emotional creatures who are looking for a chance to connect. I am driven in helping dogs reach their full potential using compassion and understanding.

In order to provide the best and most up-to-date training and dog services, I am certified dog trainer of the Victoria Stilwell Academy for dog trainers, a continuous student on the most up-to-date and scientifically backed dog behavior research, as well as a proud volunteer at the local animal shelter.
